Movie Poster "Lolita"

This a promo poster from the 1997 lolita movie. It was a remake of the 1962 motion picture.  THe image illustrates the direction i'm leaning towards. The story is about a man named Humbert Humbert who has an attraction for young girls, no older than the age of 12. There's one girl in particular he seems to fall in love with and falls right back in love with him, Lolita. In the book she is painted as a 12 year old, but to avoid too much controversy they chose to raise the age to 14 for the movie. I'm thinking I may want to illustrate the girl for the cover more than Humbert. I'm even considering illustrating the both of them but i'm still in the middle of deciding.

"Lolita" the Novel by Vladimir Nabokov

This is the Book I chose to recreate. It has a very Olden English style to it, from it's pale green color to its selection of Serif font's. Although I've already ready the book I've done further research on it to see how I can recreate a cover for it. I'm going to try and stylize it by giving a more up-to-date/modern look.
